Wow! Have you watched any baseball lately?
The baseball players have really and truly put together a great show in these latest games of the regular season.
I mean, if you've watched any of the regular season games leading up to the playoffs, the major league baseball players are playing baseball like they used to play before all of the drugs and the steroids. The coaches have, out of necessity, had to fine tune their games. They've gone back to the wider game, and thank heavens for that!
The major league baseball players have gotten away from the slug fest long ball show, and now bunting, advancing runners, stealing, and strategy have come back to the game, and I love it.
The latest baseball news, as I see it, is that the real, genuine game is finally back. Gone are the days of the long ball bombardment--check your baseball trivia for the stats and see what you find.
Yes, it's still exciting to see the home-runs, but they are fewer, and the game is the most rounded I've seen it in a long, long time. It's much more strategic and interesting. The major league baseball players are back to playing a truer, more honest, grass-roots baseball. |
